I came home with a lovely natural tan from Jamaica. Don’t worry, I went heavy on the SPF and never burned, the tan was super gradual over the 12 days we were in Montego Bay and I feel confident I kept my skin protected from those harmful UV rays. I was in Jamaica about three days before the actual wedding so I probably had plenty of time to get a good glow beforehand, but I am so cautious about my skin and dangers of too much sun exposure that I wasn’t willing to risk rushing it. Not only would a burn not look great against my dress and in the photos, but the long terms consequences could be even worse.
