Shopping for clothes to wear on the wedding weekend and honeymoon was literally the last thing on my mind and the last thing I checked off my list. Luckily my mom had been stockpiling clothes for me or else I might have been running around in a ratty coverup the whole time! I wore white the entire trip with two exceptions – I slept in my normal black t-shirt and undies, and I wore my favorite black jumpsuit out to dinner one night. Everything else was all white! One of our friends had done the all white thing for her wedding so I shamelessly copied.
Although I could assume I would be spending a good 80% of my time in a swimsuit (one of the main reasons I chose Jamaica was for the beach) of course I had exactly zero white swimsuits going into this.
I love the look of one pieces. I think they are flattering and classic on all body types. For the wedding I was looking for something sophisticated, with a streamlined silhouette as opposed to tons of straps and cutouts everywhere. Browsing online it became pretty obvious that the swimsuits just weren’t made with that type of image in mind. When I came across Andie Swim it made so much sense! Their swimwear is made by women who know what women want.
Andie Swim has three different silhouettes in four elegant colors. I went with the Tulum which features a round scoop neck in front and crossing straps over a low back. All three of the options have a lower back to them which I personally love. Everything up front is relatively modest but the back can still get some sun. What really made the swimsuit stand out was the option for embroidery. I was able to get “Colón,” my new last name, on my hip. It was subtle as the embroidery thread was white too. This made the suit feel even more luxurious than it already had with the quality fabric and craftsmanship.
The swimsuits come in sizes XS-XL. I definitely see some room to expand that offering and make is accesable for even more women. The price point was very fair at $125 and considering how much I wore it over the last two weeks, I definitely got my money’s worth.
